Santo Stefano is the result of the vinification of grapes from the vineyards of the estate that gives the wine evident characteristics of aromatic complexity and structure.

Grape variety: 100 % Aglianico.
Production area: Vineyards are located in the hilly area of the municipalities of Luogosano, Sant’Angelo all’Esca, Taurasi, at 350 m above sea level.
Type of soil: clayey-calcareous soil medium deep with evident volcanic outcrops.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested when fully ripe, transported to the cellar, selected by hand and destemmed. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at controlled temperature. Maceration with the skins lasts about 2 weeks. It ages in French oak barrels for 12 months, for 24 months in cement tanks, finally at least 6 months in bottle.
Organoleptic characteristics
Color: Intense ruby red colour.
Bouquet: Berries and sour cherries with a complex bouquet of spices and licorice.
Taste: Good body, complete on the palate with ripe and elegant tannins.
Food pairings: It goes particularly well with meat dishes, first and second courses based on red sauces, parmigiana, baked lasagna and aged cheeses. Serving temperature 16-18°C.
Longevity: 50 YEARS
