The Event

Join us at the Cavalier Pepe Estate for a unique and complete sensory journey of our lavender fields.  

During the experience we will: discover the different qualities of lavender, such as its medicinal and healing properties, as well as the cultivation methods; collect it directly from the field; learn the techniques of drying and distillation; and create a personalized aromatic bag. 

In the evening, enjoy a relaxing aperitif, dinner, and panoramic view of sunset at our restaurant, La Veduta, with a special menu that includes oil and lavender mousse , created in collaboration with Chef Anna Chiavazzo.

Arrive at the Winery. We will welcome you with coffee, juices and pies.

Guided tour of the winery with explanations of the winemaking and aging process

Walk aboard the estate vineyards and olive groves and onwards through the lavender fields of the “Lavanda d’Irpinia” farm.
  • Description of the various types of lavender and cultivation methods
  • Discussion of the medicinal and healing properties
  • Lavender harvest
  • Transformation of lavender with illustration of distillation and drying techniques
  • Craft of a personal aromatic bag

Aperitif on hay bales along the crest of the hill with Oro Spumante with lavender, savory pies and baked pizzas.

Dinner (Optional): Upon reservation, the experience continues at La Veduta restaurant with a special menu based upon lavender with the collaboration of Chef Anna Chiavazzo and paired with wines from Tenuta Cavalier Pepe. The evening will be enlivened by the musical group “Poterico.”

Menu can change following the seasons.

The winery has an indoor play area for your children. They will also receive a meat & cheese board and are invited to take part in an educational workshop and marmalade blind tasting.
