The Event

Join Tenuta Cavalier Pepe for an exclusive experience to discover Irpinia’s unique cheeses.

Let yourself be enveloped by the sensations that will surround you in taste, sights, smells and sounds. In the morning, take part in the guided tasting of four Irpinia cheese, paired with some of our historical vintage wines. Then, continue the morning with a walk across the estate’s centuries-old olive groves and vineyards.

At lunch, the emotions continue at the La Veduta restaurant, where each chef’s dish will be dedicated to a cheese and will be paired with one of our particular wines, to complete a unique sensorial journey at the table.

Arrive at the Winery Arrive at the Winery Cheers with a glass of “Or’osé”, our sparkling Rosato and enjoy bruschetta with caciocavallo cheese. Free parking available at the winery and restaurant.

Guided tour of the winery with explanations of the winemaking and aging process.

11:30

Experience a guided tasting and in-depth analysis of four unique Irpinia cheese paired with our vintage wines by a Master Taster from Organizzazione Nazionale degli Assaggiatori di Formaggio (ONAF), the National Organisation of Cheese Tasters:

  • Primo Sale di Milk Coop & “Bianco di Bellona” Irpinia Coda di Volpe DOC 2015
  • Caciocavallo semi-stagionato di D&D & “Brancato” Selezione Fiano di Avellino DOCG 2015
  • Aged Carmasciano di Forgione & “La Loggia del Cavaliere” Taurasi Riserva DOCG 2008
  • Blu di Pecora di Carmasciando & “Chicco d’Oro” Passito Campania IGT 2020

We will walk through the centuries-old vineyards and olive groves and arrive on the crest of the hill for the tasting lunch.

Optional Lunch: With advance reservation, the experience continues at lunch with the cheese-based menu developed by the chef of the La Veduta restaurant.

Menu can change following the seasons.

The winery has an indoor play area for your children. They will also receive a meat & cheese board and are invited to take part in an educational workshop and marmalade blind tasting.
